This one's tempting

This lovely little circuit is bordered on three sides by the Cooks River. If you’d like to ride the entire way around you’ll need to cross the road at the roundabout on Holbeach Avenue where there is also a decent amount of parking.

We began by cycling in an anticlockwise direction, passing the Sydney Model Autosports race track, netball courts and the Robyn Webster Sports Centre.

When you arrive at Tempe Recreation Reserve Playground, take the fork to the right to continue riding along the outer edge of the reserve. You’ll hit a shared zone which you’ll need to ride along for about 100 metres before ducking off to the left where the bike track starts again.

If you’re planning on making a day of it, there are a couple of public toilets and a few table and bench setups where you could pause for a picnic lunch. There are also a bunch of intersecting paths in the south-west section of the reserve so plenty of bicycle exploring to be done for little ones!
